Most states now have some sort of Structured Settlement Protection Act that allows you to sell your structured settlement payments pursuant to a fairly simple court proceeding. Singer will undertake a court proceeding and work to transfer the payments you would like to sell.
- How long does the process take?
It depends upon the state where the court order is required, but typically the process takes from 45 to 90 days.
- How much can I get for my payments?
It depends upon a variety of factors but the amount will primarily depend upon what payments you sell, the amount of those payments and when those payments are due.
